The P1 never started in a
race. Driver Ugi Sivocci crashed and died in the training for the 1923 Italian G.P. This was the end of the P1 and of Merosi. In 1924 one of the cars was equipped
with a Roots-compressor and became the P1 Compressore 1924.
Merosi's successor Jano
worked on the successful P2.
